Bangkok Fun

No home yet, but we're having fun!
This is Jim Thompson's house. He was a backpacker turned wealthy by exporting Thai silk. He built this amazing house and was responsible for making Thai silk popular in the rest of the world. He died mysteriously when he was 63. He went for a walk while staying with friends in Cambodia and never returned. No one knows what happened to him.

We are on Thai time which means you don't really get anything done. Tomorrow we are going with Lek to look for a home with an agent...we think. Last time we went to "look for a home" it consisted of us driving half an hour to downtown with her, only to drive around two blocks of downtown and come back home. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Our new favorite band is from the Philippines and plays at Hard Rock every night until they move on to Pattaya on their 3 month tour. They seriously play EVERY genre of music and know EVERY song ever written and play and sing them well.
This is a band Stacey would really love.

With friends like these you don't need English.

We spend a lot of time at the malls watching movies and bowling. This place has Nicole's name all over it.

mmm green tea and Thai tea ice cream!

Just yesterday we were at the mall and there was free beer and food for this ping pong match.

We are happy to report we found a decent Mexican food place and the best Indian food we have ever had. Also, Nicole can buy any ingredient to make Mexican food at home so that is very exciting!

Andy started his first day of work today and while he is working Nicole is going to try to complete her on line traffic school. For the one of 3 tickets she got a couple days prior to leaving. (No she does not make a habit of getting tickets, she was just very lucky to have the police escorting her everywhere she went to make sure she was following all rules 2 days before she turned in her car and gave up driving for 2 years.)
