Koh Samui

We LOVE Samui!

Andy needed a haircut so we found a woman and explained to her that he wanted his signature style. Look how nervous he looks! She said she could do it just the way he wanted but when she started buzzing the look on her face was almost disgust. We don't think she has ever seen hair like his before.

We discovered that even though we have never tasted fruit so good anywhere else in the world, not ALL fruit in Thailand is good.

However...the pancakes are ALWAYS delicious, especially with Nutella and Banana!

Samui was very crowded but a lot of fun. There is tons to do and plenty of things to spend your money on. We decided to mostly lounge on the beach and eat roasted corn mmmmm!

(Yes, we realize that all our posts have to do with food. It is an extremely high priority on Nicole's lists of interests.)

At night the beach came alive with nightly fireworks (you light them yourself and point them toward the ocean. The fact that many people were consuming buckets added an element of fear to the environment. But not real fear because Nicole and Andy were consuming buckets as well.)

Also, you could buy a lantern and set it into the air. After Nicole burned the first one and it never took off they bought another to try again. Apparently rice paper is extremely flammable and Nicole is not a paper product scientist.

The second was successful and it floated away until it was a star in the sky.

One night we decided to hit the town and found the most packed place on the island filled with lovely ladies like these.

It was a very comical show and Andy forced Nicole to take his picture with this man, errr, woman.

Samui was great and on the islands you never know the time, date, or day of the week. Just for fun Nicole would ask other travelers for the answer to these questions and no one ever knew the correct response.

It was sad leaving the islands but we were excited to go to Laos for another travel adventure!
